Photogenic

Hey y'all!! Happy Saturday to you!! Today I am sharing a digital page that I created using downloads from GottaPixel created by Kathryn Estry.  This is my daughter Mariah who is a photographer, but she is also photogenic :)

Each month, the designers of Scrap 'n Art online magazine get to work with exclusive digital downloads from a GottaPixel digital artist. The kit I used in this page is called Point and Shoot from the March issue and is available to subscribers!!
I love the muted colors in the papers and elements in this kit. I am just now getting the hang of using brushes and blending elements together. I use My Digital Studio, so it's a little more difficult to get certain looks as you can with Photoshop, but I have yet to figure out how to use Photoshop. lol
I'm working on a few more pages using this kit and will share those soon. Be sure to check out this month's edition of Scrap 'n Art to see all the awesome projects! April's issue is just about ready to go live and it is full of inspiration, so stay tuned for sneak peeks :) Until next time...

Mon Ami Gabby SNA Project

One of the perks of being on the Scrap 'n Art design team is receiving some amazing products to work with. Mon Ami Gabby offers a nice variety of embellishments for mixed media. The package I received had amazing ribbons, lace trims and bling sheets. Here is a sneak peek of one of the projects that I created. (Click on the pic to go to the Scrap 'n Art article)

I think my favorite thing I received is the orange crepe paper that I sewed ruffles into. Oh my how pretty that turned out!! Be sure to check out all the designer's projects created with the Mon Ami Gabby products. The whole March issue is awesome!!
I have created some digital pages with some wonderful new downloads and will share next time. Until then...

Do You Pin?

I love Pinterest and it is my go to place for inspiration. I love that when you go to Pinterest, there is always something new to see and depending on how many people/boards you follow, the variety of awesomeness can get huge! At the present, I am following 1,452 people!! Sometimes I search for specific things and sometimes I just like to look at the main page and see where it takes me :) Most of my pins/boards are craft related. Bet you would have never guessed that, huh? lol If you are like me, you go to Pinterest for inspiration to work on a project and then 2 hours later, you're still looking and pinning cute, amazing stuff! Our Springs here in S.C. don't last long lol. Today I am sharing a little sneak peek of the tutorial I did for Scrap 'n Art March issue with Heartfelt Creations products :)

Wine Cork Bohemian Style Necklace

Have you seen necklaces made with wine corks? I love the unexpected element of using a wine cork as the focal point and of course had to make one! I found a wine cork in my stash that I had already added some eye screws to either end. Now bring on the fun!

I braided strands of Sari Ribbon together to create one side of the necklace and attached lace ribbon for the other side. On the lace side, I tied a piece of green dyed seam binding and added a beautiful green velvet flower.

I added some charms, beads, chain and a key to hang from the bottom of the wine cork with the eye screw.

This turned out to be a gorgeous piece! I think I'll be adding it to the shop :) Have you checked out the Pickled Tink Crafts webstore yet? I would love for you to visit!!
I am traveling to Virginia to visit my best friend Kristie this weekend and can't wait to see her!! She moved there in November and I have missed her so! She is such a talented artist and I get such inspiration from her :) Check out her blog The Scrapinator to see her awesome creations!
I'll be back soon with some new projects. Until then...

Pickled Tink Crafts Webstore is Opened For Business!!

I'm very happy to announce that the Pickled Tink Crafts webstore is open!! Here is the link: www.pickledtinkcrafts.weebly.com. Please go take a peak and tell me what you think!! I have many more items coming, including Art Anthology Colorations color sprays, stencils, the Big Fat Craft Mat, Petaloo flowers and more mixed media embellishment kits by me :) There is also a section where you can purchase some of my creations like greeting cards, memory wire bracelets and home decor items. I can also take custom orders, just email me and we'll work something out! Here are a few items you will find in the store :)

The large applique pieces came from an estate, so I'm not sure how old they are, but some have some age stains on them. I only have one of each of them. I think they are perfect for dainty, girly or vintage scrapbook pages. I hope they find their way into an awesome piece or art! I also have lots of May Arts ribbon to share. I love ribbon and lace and try to incorporate some in everything I make!
I hope you enjoy browsing through my website and really hope you find something you absolutely must have!
Don't forget that today the newest edition of Scrap 'n Art magazine is live! Go check out all the wonderful projects that the designers (including me!) have created. This month we've added video tutorials! How great is that?!!
That's all from me today. Hope y'all have a great Sunday! Until next time...
