Got Sketch?

One of the things I have always really liked in scrapping or card making is a sketch or color challenge and Scrap 'n Art Online Magazine has one or the other every month! Back in October, the challenge was a card sketch challenge by Lynda Lindley and this was my take on it :)

You can check out every one's projects HERE. I love the color combination of yellow, pink and green, too :)

Another thing I love is to use scraps of ribbon in unusual ways, like I did on this card. I hope you are enjoying seeing some of the projects that I created for Scrap 'n Art.
I'm still working on items for my website and here is a sneak peak :)

Hand dyed scrunched seam binding! Yummy colors!! I am so excited to be providing handmade items to sell on my website. You will also find cards like the one above. One of a kind, handmade with love items :) I'll share all the website info as soon as it's ready!!
That's all from me tonight :) Until next time...

Bloom Wall Hanging

I made this wall hanging with a Darkroom Door stamp for Scrap 'n Art Online Magazine's September issue. The base is a cigar box lid that I covered with a key printed tissue paper. I've used this tissue paper on a lot of other projects because I just love it!

Click on the picture to go to the Darkroom Door article.

I stamped the Darkroom Door Star Flowers background stamp on a tea stained tag and colored the image with Tsukineko inks and a blender pen. The bow is made with May Art ribbon that I hand dyed.

The bloom letters are Thickers that were originally pink, but I inked them with a purple ink pad to coordinate with the color scheme. I really love how it all came together to create a shabby, unique piece.

I've been really busy finishing up my project for the February issue of Scrap 'n Art and working on items for my website. I have tons of ideas for products to offer and can't wait to share all the details with y'all. My goal is to go live on March 1, so stay tuned to see what I have in store! I will share a sneak peak of some items in the next few days :)

Until next time..

SNA Mag SODAlicious Project

One of the most awesome things about being one of the Scrap 'n Art magazine designers is that we receive all kinds great products from some of the greatest companies in the industry. In October, we got to play with some wonderful products from SODAlicious and this is one of the projects that I made using their products. This is one of the scrapbook page that I made using the kit I received.

The papers I received were perfect for boy pages and I just so happen to have the perfect little boy to scrapbook :) You can find the other designer's projects and the full article HERE.

The New Year is moving along and I have a lot of different things I'm working on. One thing that I am really FOCUSING (my word for the year!) on is something that I have been dreaming of for a very long time. I've done a lot of research and a ton of soul searching and finally decided to just go for it! I am starting my own online webstore to offer some amazing products and even some of my own creations. I will share details as soon as I'm ready to go live :) I am so excited to be doing this! I am still selling most of my creations at Chinaberry Dreams here locally, too and will be adding some new products to my booth. I feel like I am moving forward and getting closer and closer to my dreams :)

I'll share some more magazine articles over the next few days. :) Until next time..

Artsy Digital Pages

I love creating pages in My Digital Studio, but I am by no means an expert at digital scrapbooking. The ladies that design for Scrap 'n Art Magazine on the digital side are amazing, phenomenal digital artists and I can only strive to be 1/10th as good as they are!! I think my biggest hurdle is that I don't get the technical terms for the different techniques and I am so not Photoshop literate, lol. There are several online classes teaching the techniques and I just may have to take one or ten of them :)
These are two pages that I've created in the last couple of days. I just play around with different photo tricks using Picmonkey.com and then build a page in My Digital Studio. I love how these two turned out!!

I can't decide which one is my favorite!! I love them both so much and plan to have them made into canvases from CanvasPeople.com. They are running a huge special right now :) I ordered both of my daughters one for Christmas with images I created in My Digital Studios and they turned out fantastic!! Are you a digi scrapper? Do you dabble or are you an expert?

Next time, I'll share some past magazine projects :) Until then...
