Christmas Wonder

Happy Thanksgiving! I just wanted to pop on here for a moment to share a digital page I created last night. I don't think there is anything sweeter than the look of wonder on a child's face at Christmas. Mariah shot this picture of Grayson after she turned on the Christmas tree lights. I just love the look of awe on his face.

I knew the minute I saw this picture that I had to make a page with it. This is a digital creation, but I'm sure I'll be creating other scrapbook pages with this image! He is the cutest little curly headed boy and so smart! And he's growing up way too fast.
I hope y'all are having a wonderful Thanksgiving and are spending time and making sweet memories with family. We had our family dinner earlier and I am stuffed!! I'm spending the rest of the afternoon in the Art House to get some magazine projects done. Until next time...

Happy Boy

I can't believe that I forgot to share this digital page from a while back! Isn't that curly blond headed boy a cutie? I may be biased because he's my grand baby, but you have to admit he's pretty adorable :)

I absolutely love this picture of him. That little boat he's sitting in is actually a bookshelf. There are not a lot of elements added to this digital page because I wanted the pictures to really be the focus. I love adding the picture as the full background and also as the focal picture. It seems to be a trend right now and I would have never thought to do that all by myself. I love seeing what all the digital designers create for Scrap 'n Art magazine and that's where I get a lot of my inspiration for my digital pages. I'm working on some other digital pages and also some wreath orders and will share them soon. This week is going to be very busy at work, but at least we get Thanksgiving and Friday off. Love those long holiday weekends!!
That's going to be all from me tonight. Hope y'all have a great Monday!! Until next time...

Chevron Initial Wreath

I made this wreath for my daughter a while back and forgot to share it with y'all.

The base is made with a pool noodle and covered with orange chevron burlap ribbon. I painted the W aqua and tied it to the wreath with a piece of plain burlap ribbon.

This week has been really busy at work and I've also done 3 wreath making classes and a craft fair. Whew! am I tired!! I want to just sip on coffee in my pj's all day today to try and recuperate from it all. Monday will start another week of crazy business at work, so I'll need the rest! I also have a couple of wreath orders to work on and will share those as soon as I can. Until then...

Become a Possibilitarian!!

I recently came upon a blog that I absolutely fell in love with! I was perusing Pinterest (imagine that!) and a piece of artwork caught my eye and it led me to Kelly Rae Roberts' blog/website. What a fabulous artist she is! Her blog and artwork is fun, colorful and very uplifting! One of the things that struck a cord with me on her blog is the "The Possibilitarian Tribe". I love this quote:

I think I have always been a positive person, but sometimes I get bogged down with life and get a negative attitude, so putting that little phrase in my mind really helps to keep me focused on the good, the positive, THE POSSIBILITIES!! You may have noticed that I added a button over there on my side bar "The Possibilitarian Tribe". Click on it to see the awesomeness that I'm so excited about!! Kelly is such an inspiration to me and it makes me want to be an inspiration for others! I so hope I am :)
I'm working on lots of pretty goodies, so stay tuned!! Until next time...

Cozumel Digital Scrapbook Page

I am working on digital scrapbook pages of my cruise to Cozumel in hopes to create a book to have printed. This is one of my pages of my bestest friend Kristie and me at one of the beaches that we visited.

I love, love, love Cozumel!! I really want to go back and see more of the island, even though we visited four different beautiful beaches. I still can't get over how beautiful it was there and the weather perfect!!
The background picture is one that I took at one of the beaches. The elements I used are from Hidden Treasures from Optic Illusions Etsy store, Scrap Girls BMU Seascape, Scrap Girls JCO Under the Boardwalk and a couple from Studio Lynnise.
I'm working on lots of magazine projects, floral design work and items for an up coming craft fair and will share over the next few days. Until next time...
