Happy Birthday Boy

My adorable grandson Grayson turned one year old in April and this is a photo from one of the photo shoots that Mariah did for his birthday. Yeah, she did SEVERAL different photo shoots for his birthday, lol.

I love that cute little monkey!! I am talking about Grayson, but the ginormous sock monkey is cute, too. The background I used here is one that I just found this past week on GraphicStock.com and the embellishments came from different companies that I recently found. I want to eventually have enough digital pages created so I can put them in a book.
June's issue of Scrap n' Art Magazine will be out next week! I will share a sneak peak on some of the projects as soon as I can! Check out the Scrap n' Art Facebook page, too :) Lots of inspiration!!
I'll be back later in the week with some other projects, so until then...

Travel Notes

Happy Sunday y'all!! This is a nice long three day weekend for me and tomorrow we will celebrate Memorial Day to remember all who have served our country, especially those who gave their lives to fight for our freedom. Today, I want to share a digital scrapbook page I created of my sweet little Grayson and his Daddy at the beach. TC was digging in the sand while Grayson was laying back and relaxing with his cute little feet resting on TC's back. Oh, the life!!

Grayson is such a little ham. He's trying to walk, but still has to hold on to furniture. He is talking up a storm, too! His favorite thing to say is "stop it". I have created other pages using some awesome digital images I have found recently and will share those this week.
I hope y'all have a great Memorial Day!! Until next time...

Wedding Invitation Preserved on a Canvas

My cousin's son got married a couple of weeks ago and for their wedding gift I preserved their wedding invitation on a canvas. I think it turned out pretty good! Hope they liked it :)

First, I prepped the 11x17 canvas with Gesso and painted it a pale pink. Then I applied Crackle Paint Medium over the entire canvas and after that dried, I painted a light green over it. To help speed up the crackling process, I dried it with a heat gun until I got the cracks I wanted. Next, using stencils, I sprayed some darker green and aqua sprays on the canvas. Once it was dry, I glued the invitation pieces that I had already mounted on patterned paper. The final touch was to add the decorative wood pieces that I got from Unique Laser Designs. I painted the wood pieces a light pink and distressed them a little.

You can see crackled effect in this picture.

I've been busy getting all of my projects entered for the June issue of Scrap N' Art Online Magazine this week. Be sure to check out the May issue, too! Keep in mind that there is a small subscription fee but it is so worth it! You can also check out the Scrap N' Art blog HERE
I've also been finding lots of awesome digital downloads across the web this week and have created some pretty darn cute layouts of the grandbabies!! I'll share those this week :)
We are gearing up for the last few days of school here. Dakota will be graduating from 8th grade next week!! High school here he comes!
Stay tuned for pictures from graduation and other projects :)
Until next time...

Vacation at the Beach Digital Scrapbook Page

I created this page using a digital kit called Vintage Charm from Optic Illusions' Etsy store. The company was featured in this month's Scrap n' Art Online Magazine. My daughter Mariah took this picture of my sweet grandson Grayson with his Daddy walking on Garden City Beach. I just love this picture!!

I love all the elements in this kit. Go check out all the other awesome digital kits and images offered in the Optic Illusions Etsy store!

There are several more pictures from their beach trip that I want to use in a layout and I am sure I will be using this picture again at least once! I will be back soon to share a canvas piece that I made to preserve a wedding invitation. Until then...

Pretty Rooster and Floral Grapevine Wreath

I have been so busy creating cute things for the Scrap n' Art Online Magazine that I haven't dedicated much time to my blog lately. Sorry about that! I did manage to make this sweet rooster and floral grapevine wreath for Chinaberry Dreams gift shop and took it there this morning.

I just love that cute blue polka dotted rooster!! And I adore the little yellow puffy ball flower stems :) I have been eyeing those at Hobby Lobby for some time and they finally went on sale half off a couple of weeks ago, so I got them! I wanted one in every color but decided on just the yellow.

I also took several of the projects that I have made for the magazine to Chinaberry Dreams. I really hope they all sell! If you are in the Lexington County, SC area, you should really go check out Chinaberry!! It's the cutest little store with many awesome artisans offering really cool items!
In the last couple of days, I have worked on some digital scrapbook pages and will share those soon. I purchased some really cute downloads from one of the companies named Optic Illusions that is in this month's Scrap n' Art Online Magazine. I will share what I created in the next day or so. Until then...
