Burlap Wreath with Strawberry Bucket

I bought this cute little water pail with the strawberry label on it and knew that it would perfect filled with flowers and added to a wreath.

I started with a white work wreath and added natural colored burlap first and then one row of red burlap. For the pail, I inserted a piece of floral foam, then added flowers. I attached it to the center of the wreath with floral wire. This wreath went to Chinaberry Dreams in Batesburg-Leesville and hopefully will find a new owner soon :)

Sorry, I have not posted anything lately. I have been really busy creating projects for Scrap n' Art magazine!! I have just a couple more projects to do. Then of course taking pics, editing them, uploading them to the magazine and creating the supply lists. That is the most time consuming part. I will share a sneak peak with you each month when the magazine comes out. If you haven't subscribed yet, you should check it out. The cost is very reasonable and is so full of inspiration and awesome ideas!!
For now, I am off to get a much needed good nights sleep!! Until next time...

1st Birthday Banner!!

I can't believe that my grandson Grayson will be a year old in a couple of weeks! Boy has the time flown by! Mariah (my daughter AKA Grayson's mommy) has been planning his 1st birthday party for months and is making most all the decorations herself. She asked if I would make a few things and this banner is one of them. I love making banners and this one was a lot of fun!!  :)

The old wooden highchair is Grayson's other grandmommy's and Mariah cleaned it up and painted it this awesome blue. I cut a piece of burlap in the flag shape, folded it over the red and white stripe ribbon and glued it in place. The other ribbons are a blue with red polka dots, red rick-rack, blue stripe and red pom-pom trim and are just tied onto the main ribbon. The 1 is wooden and Mariah painted it red and I just glued it on using Beacon's 3-in-1 glue. Here is a picture of the sweet birthday boy trying out his birthday highchair!!

Isn't he just the cutest thing you've ever seen?!! The other things we made were the cake banner and a burlap sock monkey wreath. By the way, the party is sock monkey themed! If you know Mariah, you already knew that, since she is obsessed with sock monkeys, lol

I have been working on projects for Scrap n' Art magazine this week. I'm having so much fun and am so honored to be part of this magazine. Check out my debut in the April issue HERE. You do have to subscribe to the magazine to see all of the content, but it is so worth it!!

That's all from me tonight. Until next time...
