Cute Little Tea Cup Bookmark

I made these cute little tea cup bookmarks to put in the goody bags for the travel crop we had this past weekend. These were so much fun to make :)
I started with a piece of Certainly Celery that was cut out with a 4 inch circle die cut, then ran it through an embossing folder. I stamped the tea cup with Versamark and heat embossed with light pink embossing powder, then I fussy cut it out. The "tea bag" is a piece of card stock that I punched out with the tag punch, then wrapped a small piece of a coffee filter around it. I stapled a piece of bakers twine to the tea bag and also to the scalloped oval shape to form the label for the tea bag.

When you put the bookmark in your book, you hang the string with the tag outside the book to hold your spot. I had the idea for this bookmark while in the shower one morning. I get a lot of good ideas in the shower for some odd reason. LOL

The Scrapbook Friends & More Crafts travel crop this past weekend in Sevierville, Tennessee was awesome!! I met some awesome women from the group and they were all so talented and oh so funny!! Our members are from all over the country and some from other countries as well, but for the crop, most everyone is on the East coast. We had ladies there from Ohio, Florida, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and of course South Carolina. I started on a canvas piece while there, but haven't finished it yet. I haven't even unpacked everything! Hopefully I can get everything put away and work on crafting this weekend.
That's all from me tonight! Until next time....

The Great Grands

This is what I made for my Mom for Mother's Day. Now that she has two great grandkids, she needed a canvas with them both on it! This canvas is 16x20. I painted it green and blue and then glued crumpled tissue paper over the whole canvas. The chipboard letters were painted, stamped and stained. The Prima flowers were painted and stamped on to distress them and then I added the chipboard flowers and buttons with ribbons. I strung the miniature clothespins onto the red cording and glued it on either side of the canvas and then glued a button on top of the bows.

Here is a close up of the flowers. I made the canvas where she can add more pictures by adding extra clothespins.
Mom loves it and now wants one for "the Grands" lol

I hope all you moms had an awesome Mother's Day!! I spent the day with my parents, kids, grandkids and brother and sister-in-law. I love my family so much!!

That's all from me tonight... Until next time....

My New Business Cards

I was preparing things for a craft fair that I participated in this past Saturday and realized that I didn't have any business cards for Pickled Tink Crafts. I wanted something different and unique from all the other business cards. Something that would leave an impression and make people remember me...

This is what I created!! I found the image of the Mason jar in Google images and created the rest in My Digital Studio. I printed them, cut them out and glued a piece of lace to the top. They are bigger than a boring regular business card and I think they are kinda cute! What do you think? I also thought of some other ideas for some different cards and will work on those soon.
I didn't do great at the craft fair, but did sell a few things. One of the things that I sold, I am calling them picture clips. I will share those with you tomorrow.
Until then...
