Look familiar?

I know, I know, I've used this paper again!! I just love it! I can't help it, when I found this a piece of pretty paper, I just had to use it. Which is really weird, because I am normally a paper hoarder, lol. Most of my craft area is pretty organized, except for all my designer paper, it is every where! I don't have enough paper storage containers for it all. It's stuck in every nook and cranny in my storage cubes. One day I will have my very own room, but I'm patient because the only room that can be my craft room is Mariah's room when she goes off to college. I'm not ready for that yet! She is a senior in high school this year, so I'm cherishing everyday! I pick on her shamelessly about it though! I say things like, "When Mariah goes to college, I'm painting her room and moving my stuff in it". She knows I'm just kidding with her. I want to hold on to her for as long as I can. Moms tend to want their babies to stay babies, so that we can keep them safe. The older they get, the bigger their world is. Moms don't like that, do we? So anyway, about the card. The base is Certainly Celery and the DP is mounted on Close to Cocoa with Chocolate Chip wide grossgrain ribbon tied arount it. The sentiment is stamped on More Mustard and is from Sweet Dreams -a level 1 Hostess Set that is retiring today :( - I just got it a few weeks ago. I think I'll keep it because it has the cute scallop border frame that I stamped on Certainly Celery. Isn't it cute? The More Mustard piece is cut out to fit inside the scallop frame and then layered on Close to Cocoa. The flower is also from the Sweet Dreams set, stamped on More Mustard with Really Rust, cut out and mounted with dimensionals. So, I only have a few scrap pieces of this designer paper left, but you know you'll see them in something again!!
Until next time ya'll. Hugs and Happy Stampin'!

Sock Monkey!!

Ain't he cute? I knew that I had to have this set when it was first shown. You know those stamp sets that just scream "BUY ME"!! If there ever was one, it would be this one, lol. And of course I had to use some new "In Colors". The card base is Kiwi Kiss, next is Baja Breeze with the sentiment stamped on this piece. The next piece is Riding Hood Red that is punched with the Word Window Punch. The monkey is stamped on Very Vanilla with Timber Brown Stazon and colored in using the blender pen and the Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red stamp pad and the body is colored in with Creamy Caramel marker. The cupcake was stamped on Very Vanilla with Timber Brown Stazon, colored in with blender pen and Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red stamp pads. I cut the cupcake out and glued it down and then added stickles with some fuzzy glitter. The last thing I did was punch the right edge of the card with the new Scallop Edge Punch and added dots with the Chocolate Chip marker. Like I said before, ain't he cute?!
Thanks for stopping by today! Until next time, Hugs and Happy Stampin'!

Love this bird!!

I really do! The designer paper was still sitting on my desk from making the shadow box and the flowers reminded of this bird from Always. I stamped the bird on the paper with Versamark and embossed with black ep. The flowers in the bird's mouth are rub-ons. The main image is mounted on Basic Black and layered on Bashful Blue that I ran through the Cuttle Bug using the Birds and Swirls embossing folder. That is also mounted on Basic Black. The ribbons are black, green and blue gingham. The tag punch is Certainly Celery with a rub-on applied. The card base is Certainly Celery.

On a very happy note, I got my catalogs today!!!! I am so excited! I've already skimmed through it a couple times. I will pour over it this weekend and make lists. A wish list and a reality list, lol.

I start a new job on Monday and am excited and nervous at the same time! I really did not want to get another job, but our office has been really slow with hardly anyone purchasing homes or refinancing existing mortgages. My boss has always been worried about me not having benefits and when he decides to retire in a few years, it will be harder for me to find something (because I will be so old by then, haha). So now is the best time to go. I am sad because I have worked with my Mom for 12 years and I will really miss being with her everyday. I'll still see her everyday because I live behind her, but it's not gonna be the same. So I'm done with my pity party now! Wish me luck with my new job!!

Thanks for stopping by todau and I'll see ya'll again soon! Until then, Hugs and Happy Stampin'!
